IMPORTANT

Trump's legal team is now asserting that DOUG COLLINS, not KELLY LOEFFLER would be participating in the January 5 runoff if Brian Kemp hadn't rigged the voting machines. Does LOEFFLER agree? Or will she admit that the Trump campaign's claims of voter fraud are BS.

Well, nobody ever said that one has to be particularly smart in order to pass the Bar, ya know.

Best case scenario is that the Trumpians split off from the Republican party and fade away into 3rd party status...

That is the point of the commentary at the end of that video.  The Republicans MAY end up reaping what they have sewn.  They have propped up Trump as a demigod and have not denounced him in any way when he lied to people or tried to cheat to win the election.  That MAY come back to bite them.

If I was playing the dirty trick disinformation Republican game I would be flooding Georgie with social media about how the Republican Party has betrayed Donald Trump.  His supporters expect the party to overthrow the results and are getting frustrated that this is not happening.

I don't see this happening, just as the Tea Party has never split off from the Republican Party.  If the Trumpists did split, they are too disorganized to organize any kind of party.  Other than a pity party.

What you might have is the basest Trump elements not bothering to vote, but I wouldn't count on it.

Regardless, the Trumpists are Republicans just as they were before Trump.  Of course many of them did not bother to vote before Trump pushed their buttons.

While some very vocal elements may advocate boycotting the Jan. 5 GA election, by then the majority will realize it is two Republicans OR two "socialist" Democrats giving Biden-Harris, AO-C, Sanders, et. al. control of the US Senate.

The Republicans prop up third left leaning parties to split the Democrat vote.  It would be a dangerous ploy but maybe the dems should do the same with a new right wing party?

What "third left leaning parties" have the Republicans propped up "to split the Democrat vote?"  What did the Republicans do to prop up these groups?  I'm serious because I never heard of this.

The Green Party in 2016 - in social media at least.  Trump propped up Bernie Sanders whenever he could to disenfranchise the progressives from Clinton and later Joe Biden.

Maybe the choice  of 'propped up' is why you say you've never heard of this?  But they are always trying to encourage third parties to split the democrats vote.  Most of this is done below the radar.

The GOP helped Kayne West out whenever they could as they hoped he would take even a small amount of black votes from Biden.

Jaime Harrison tried it in SC. He put up ads for a conservative third-party candidate who had

already dropped out of the race and endorsed Graham. Harrison was trying to show that Graham

wasn't conservative enough. Obviously it didn't work.

I'm surprised that you ask this given how much you know about American politics.

Try to catch the piece Drew Griffin did just tonight on CNN about how the Republicans virtually stole 3 Florida Senate seats by running phantom "liberal" candidates that were propped up by Republican dark money.   A half million dollars went into advertising 3 Republicans as liberals to draw votes away from the democrat.  One "liberal" Republican candidate even had the same name as the democrat candidate which sewed even more confusion.  It was an incredible piece of reporting.  In each case the phantom candidate was the margin of difference between the democrat and the republican who won.

I'd love to hear your examples of voter suppression, coercing a foreign government to get dirt on your opponent and running phantom candidates by the democrats.

Bogie's original post: "The Republicans prop up third left leaning parties to split the Democrat vote.  It would be a dangerous ploy but maybe the dems should do the same with a new right wing party?"

I watched the Griffin piece after having to search for it.  This is not new, but is probably more refined and much better financed.  However, I do not see this as "The Republicans prop up third....parties."  This was a few individuals who found a wealthy donor to finance their operation.  They found a stalking horse who agreed to change parties and run as a Democrat on a fake platform.

It does show that Dems. need to more aware of this type tactic and work on moves to counteract the false advertising.

Yes, it is a serious problem, but asking the Democrats to set up and finance a fake right wing party is not the answer.

These so called "candidates" demanded privacy during the run up to the election.  They were phoney and had no intention of running to win.  The entire purpose of running as a third party and as a liberal was to siphon off votes from the democrat candidate.  In truth they were all registered Republicans.  The Republicans propped up this third party run.

But should be easy since the right wing seems to be filled with a bunch of phonies anyway.  ;)

Sure, this is true. But the big unanswered question is - what is the reasoning that 1.5% of the population used who bothered to vote in this extremely important election and then made a 3rd party/write-in choice that could not win and was thus voting for the winner whoever that might be?
