Christmas Movies not Shown

Nothing political about it. The fact is that the increase of streaming channels, some with very deep pockets, forces TCM into a bidding war for those holiday films and they don't always get them.  I've  seen both HOLIDAY INN  and WHITE CHRISTMAS listed on streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime recently.

That's how things are now, streaming is a big player.  Look at the fuss when one of them  snapped up the exclusive rights to the Charlie Brown holiday shows.

I think AMC has the rights to White Christmas or at least it used to. Holiday Inn shows up on TCM occasionally, but it really isnt a Christmas movie per se, though it has some scenes.

Yes.   They play it (White Christmas) lots during December, but they load it with so many ads it's unwatchable for me.

I haven't seen it in years (probably not since TCM last showed it), but I noticed it's on one of my streaming services, so I'll watch it there.
