Hi sagebursh and silent movie fans.  Why are silent movies last place in planning future movies? The silent picture audience should be considered as well!

I am so disappointed not being able to view them the past two Sundays! They are of such value and we can learn so much about history itself and of film making.

People do not know what they are missing and need to give them a chance with an open mind!

I look forward immensely to seeing Silent Sundays ( and seeing our host..J ) and it is disappointing when they cancel it or push it out to an ungodly time in the am. and your right , people who have not visited the genre are really missing out. "Sunrise a tale of two humans was one of the best films i have ever seen" . as a FYI  YouTube and amazon prime have a decent inventory of free silent movies for those nights when TCM pulls the show.

I agree I also look forward to Silent Sundays.  Yes, putting a film you really want to see at 2,3, 4am makes me angry.  This weekend is a big disappointment on tcm. I'm disgusted.

I remember when silents aired on like Tuesdays, during the day.  There are times now during the week randomly they show silent films.  But I agree having to wait so late on a Sunday no less

just to watch 1 hour and some for a silent movie then the rest of the night/morning is imports. Which I like too (some of them)   They also only show The Jazz Singer at 3am.

Was the broadcast of "The Patsy" glitched after the first half, or was it just my local cable provider? The second half of the move was just a title card about an insulting waiter, with what looked like digital 'noise' interfering. A real shame, because it's a delightful movie.
