FrankGrimes
You really know how to torture a girl.... Now I know how that thread got it's name. Me?! I'm a gentleman. Didn't you hear? I told you I didn't like Peck and Hest in confidence and you blab it all over the boards. Glad to be of assistance, ma'am. you really AREN"T a gentleman. Can't brunettes hear?! You should watch The Big Country. And how about some Terror Train for Halloween? I'll have to think up some of my favorite brunettes. That list will be very short.
JackFavell
Terror Train? I thought that was what we were just on.......
FrankGrimes
Terror Train? I thought that was what we were just on....... We were? Ingrid Bergman is a dirty blonde! And you're a dirty brunette.
FrankGrimes
Here are my favorite brunettes (combo of appearance and vibe): 1. Gene Tierney 2. Linda Darnell 3. Ava Gardner 4. Joan Bennett 5. Claudia Cardinale 6. Rita Hayworth 7. Gail Russell 8. Myrna Loy 9. Louise Brooks 10. Cathy O'Donnell 11. Teresa Wright 12. Coleen Gray 13. Ida Lupino 14. Jeanne Crain 15. Yvonne De Carlo 16. Barbara Stanwyck 17. Vivien Leigh 18. Simone Simon 19. Jean Simmons 20. Joan Fontaine
CineMaven
1. I like your list. 2. Jeanne Crain has auburn hair. You like Rita as a brunette rather than as a redhead? 3. Don't argue with the gal that's giving us all these great photos. 4. Jackaaaay, with that picture of Zohra Lampert...you get a complete buy from me. I love that shot of Zohra from "Let's Scare Jessica To Death."
FrankGrimes
1. I like your list. Thanks, Lively Gal. 2. Jeanne Crain has auburn hair. Does "auburn" fall under "brunette"? So is Ingrid a blonde? You like Rita as a brunette rather than as a redhead? Definitely. But I'm not sure what her natural hair color is. 3. Don't argue with the gal that's giving us all these great photos. She needs a spanking.
Singleton
> {quote:title=JackFavell wrote:}{quote} > Was that some reference to my hair color? You had to play the blonde card, didn't you? And in this thread, too. > > Well, Gentlemen (and I use the word loosely) may prefer blondes but they marry brunettes. h4. Gentleman prefer anything with a young body and pretty face, If the equipment's right, they take out for a spin. After a certain age, many women are blond with brunette roots- 'cuz the brunette is no longer brunette ;-) Has the beautiful Jennifer Jones (brunette) been mentioned yet?
HollywoodGolightly
Astute observation, Singleton... And I agree with you - the thread could use some Jennifer Jones photos.
MissGoddess
Rita is definitely a redhead. She is THE redhead. If we are to consider "natural" haircolors, leave Hollywood actresses out of the equation entirely.
FrankGrimes
Rita is definitely a redhead. She is THE redhead. She's a redhead? Off the list she goes! Maureen is THE redhead with me. Is Lauren Bacall a brunette?
CineMaven
1. I like your list. Thanks, Lively Gal. No problem. 2. Jeanne Crain has auburn hair. Does "auburn" fall under "brunette"? So is Ingrid a blonde? I think auburn is in the very dark red family. Ingrid is whatever she wants to be. You like Rita as a brunette rather than as a redhead? Definitely. But I'm not sure what her natural hair color is. Ummmm.... 3. Don't argue with the gal that's giving us all these great photos. She needs a spanking. I'll PM my response to that! I have a reputation to uphold. Jackaaay, Miss Goddess...keep those brunettes coming. "Rita is definitely a redhead. She is THE redhead. If we are to consider "natural" haircolors, leave Hollywood actresses out of the equation entirely." - Miss Goddess Ha...Haa...Haaa...Haaa! Good one, Ms. G.
JackFavell
Jeanne did go auburn in her career, but in most of the color films I have seen her in she is a brunette. She can go either way. I'm posting her anyway, just cuz I like her! She's a doll either way.
CineMaven
Jackaaay, who am I to quibble about hair color? I don't work for Revlon or Clairol. Well Frankie G., here she is...the number 14 girl on your hit parade. What ever her hair color, JEANNE CRAIN has got to be the prettiest girl in Hollywood. She had a great voice, all-American looks and I found her believable in ev'ry role I've ever seen her play. Thank you Jackaay for posting such lovely photographs.
Jenetico
I would like to say my favorite is Carolyn Jones. She was great at the "tongue in cheek" comic adapation of Morticia. Also watched her in the series "Capitol", was so sadden as she declined in health, continued on the show and died.

Excellent idea, Jenetico! I used to love watching her in the Addams Family when I was little. She seemed so... unique!
FrankGrimes
Well Frankie G., here she is...the number 14 girl on your hit parade. What ever her hair color, JEANNE CRAIN has got to be the prettiest girl in Hollywood. She had a great voice, all-American looks and I found her believable in ev'ry role I've ever seen her play. I know you're all about the "gal with the hoe." I actually didn't know her when I first watched A Letter to Three Wives. It wasn't until Leave Her to Heaven before I noticed her. She was a doll in both. Those are the only Crain films I've seen to date. I should watch People Will Talk. I agree with you, Jeanne is quite lovely. And, thanks to Jackie's wonderful pics, I now see the auburn you speak of.
FrankGrimes
Hmmmmmmmmmm... now that's a very lovely photo of a very lovely brunette.

FrankGrimes
I'm taking back my Jeanne Crain photos. You don't deserve them. Poor, poor CineMaven. I think she deserves them. She's a good girl, really. You, on the other claw...
