A Tribute to "Tell It to the Bees" (2018)

Noah, I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I'm really curious to know. Do you have some kind of professional promotional interest in this film or is it simply an obsession of yours? I'm asking because it's unusual (I'm not saying unwelcome) for a thread to go on for so long after the basic discussion portion has ended. I read each one (but don't do the links) but there haven't been likes or reader comments since the first page and some of the images and clips are being repeated. I have to admit it's still on my get-to list, though I do intend to watch it at some point. But some of the reviews you've posted describe it as "super-cheesy", "a little corny" and other iffy qualifiers, so I'm wondering what your tenacity is all about. I remember you said the sincerity of the woman director's approach made for the best lesbian love scenes you've seen, but you haven't really gone into it at great length, letting images and postings of reviews and comments by others do the talking. I remember your thoughtful and gorgeous tributes to Doris Day, so I'm hoping you'd be willing to clarify why you're so thoroughly and insistently championing this film.

P.S. The DVD cover you posted has a disclaimer about strong themes and violence. What is the violence and what is the extent of it?

Note the word "tribute" in the title of this topic, this thread is basically for Tell It to the Bees fans who are searching for GIFs and info relating to the film through Google (like me initially). The GIF search for images will eventually (if not almost directly) lead them to this thread as a tribute to the film.  It might not be a great film but there are definitely great moments (thanks to Paquin and Grainger) worth capturing as a GIF (still available after the film is forgotten) plus a chance for me to get creative with the GIFs.  Maybe I should change the title from a tribute to "FOR TELL IT TO THE BEES FANS ONLY!".

You can read about the violence at this link

plus 1,300 reviews for the film at this link

Of course. I always understood it was a tribute, and a very respectful one at that. If your purpose is directing fans of the film to the TCM site and providing them with content they might not find elsewhere then I encourage you to continue to do so. There's plenty of room here for what you're doing and for more movie fans. Don't let me be a wet blanket. I was just curious and your explanation makes sense. Please keep your project going and I'll continue to read your posts. No need to change a thing, especially the title.

I was planning to wrap things up anyway at the end of July and but got some GIFs that went into August.  Hopefully Anna Paquin and Holliday Grainger will team up again for something else. This time bringing their fraternal  twins along!
