Debra Johnson
I've seen the one from 1931 w/Clark Gable several times but don't recall ever seeing the one I discovered today w/Van Heflin from 1947. Always happy to discover a new film I've not seen from Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, Ida Lupino or Jennifer Jones!
TopBilled
As you have undoubtedly realized, the second POSSESSED, from 1947, is not a remake. Completely different story. Made by a different studio.

Vidor
Guy Nattiv directed two different films called "Skin" in 2018, a feature and a short. They both involved skinheads, but they were different stories.
