bookworm
I'm trying to find a film I saw several years ago. These are the only details I can remember: -It was in color. -It was set in a jungle and/or on an island, perhaps in the South Pacific area. -There was a distinctive footbridge and long, angular buildings. Lots of orange, yellow, and red. -It took place during a war or political conflict? Filmed and set prior to Korea and Vietnam. -There was some kind of siege or crisis and the people were all trapped in the buildings for days while soldiers (British? American? Neither?) tried to get help. -I think the title had numbers in it - for years I thought it had been "55 Days at Peking", but that definitely isn't it. -I can't remember any of the actors, but I think I've ruled out John Wayne, David Niven, Robert Mitchum, and Charlton Heston. Many thanks in advance!
