More Rudy facts:

He and Natacha were thinking about opening a zoo.

In addition to dogs, they owned a gopher snake and a green monkey.

According to friends, Valentino's love of cooking was more intense than his romantic life. Oh no! A good plate of pasta beats a woman every time? I hope not.

"Spaghetti with meatballs is one of my all-time favorite meals.

Why was I born too late?"

Selfishly, I'm glad you were...I'd be missing out on all your good cheer, humor and movie reviews. See if you can find a 21st century guy to moon over. That oughta help.

La Duchesse, I thought about you while watching some rather terrible Hope Lang comedy because it had the one redeeming feature of being filmed mostly in the South of France. Soooooo maddeningly beautiful. Not even the deadly "comic" scenes could mar it.

I'll tell you how bad LOVE IS A BALL was -- I couldn't even ENJOY my favorite scenery, knowing that deadly plot would keep intruding. I should have turned on my Mute button, because even Charles Boyer was getting annoying, if you can believe it. What a waste of a good cast -- AND the Riviera.

I've been noticing Rudy's caboose for some time now....

More multi-faceted Valentino! Did you know that he did all the electrical wiring in the bungalow he shared with Rambova? (before Falcon Lair) She said he was "very handy around the house". This just endears Rooody to me so much more.

*"Yeah, "Bachino!" Sounds like a game Rudy played in Italy."*

Ha! Funny how you worked Rudy in there.

In "THE CYCLOPS" is it my imagination, or does Lon Chaney's (Jr.) head lookled inordinately large for his body; like he's got two heads... but he does have an expressive face.

But ol' marble eye, ..now that's a different story.
