Soooooooooooooooooo...I guess Rudy has your cup runneth over?

A life size doll. Of Rudolph Valentino. For you.

What would your mother say?

Bring a nice man home to Mama. A real live human man. One who is handsome, kind, well-off, considerate, ethical, moral and inventive.

Yeah.

Where can we get that life size Rudy doll?? Something with a built in hydration system. Or shall we patent it ourselves??

The R & N dolls are extremely creepy, Can you imagine buying them, and in the dead of night they, er, come to life and afterwards require hydration?

Can't you hear their squeaky, insistent voices: "Hydrate us! Hydrate us!"

There's the signpost up ahead....

Why are you putting scary thoughts in my head at 12:30am? Tell me good thoughts. Tell me more Rudy stories. I shared a bedroom with my kid sister who had dolls lined up on her bed.

Mental white out! Mental white out! Quick...I need some Rudy.

I'll tell you a sweet Rudy story.

Natacha bought him a female lion cub they named Zela. Zela loved Rudy especially and followed him around the house like an adoring puppy. When Rudy would be sitting quietly on the couch engaged in a magazine or book, little Zela would climb up on his lap begging to be cuddled and caressed, and Rudy always put down whatever he was reading to shower her with affection. But the couple had to give Zela up when she began roaming the neighborhood and biting people.

Rudy and Natacha missed Zela terribly, and visited her several months later. Natacha wasn't sure their cub would remember "daddy and mommy", but Natacha found out when she saw Rudy sitting near Zela and talking the baby talk he used to croon to her. After at first eyeing him doubtfully, Zela then crawled on her tummy towards Rudy as she had done hundreds of times before when she wanted to be cuddled. Natacha saw tears streaming down Rudy's face as he hugged and tenderly embraced Zela.

Ah, Gloria! They were good friends, but not romantic. Swanson always had nice things to say about him.

Oh, I forgot to mention that whenever Rudy petted Zela, she would, according to Natacha, emit "little yowls of pleasure".

Nobody could resist Valentino.

So I'm sitting at my local bar looking at tv ("E")and talking to myfellow barfly when that gorgeous fine Lenny Kravitz appears on the screen. Then they show his equally gorgeous and I say to the girl I'm talking to, "that's Lenny's daughter." She's in shock says "WHAT?!" And throws her hand back (uhmmmm...the hand with the drink) and spills her drink on me.

I am now standing on the corner... In 90 or so degrees... Trying to dry off my chest. Ugh!

Where's Rudy now? Tell him to meet me in the Village on the corner of Hudson &. Morton.

I have to post this again.

I would literally melt into a puddle at his feet if Rudy ever looked at me like this. What a sweet, beautiful, vibrant face. Mama mia, he's an angel.

You won't believe this, but I'm Rudy-ied right now, quite pooped -- it's too much for me, what with SON OF THE SHEIK last night (I'll talk about it this weekend, and please, everyone who saw it please chime in) and then finding these delicious new photos...

I love Dick Foran's voice. I could listen to him all day. He's not really a singing cowboy like Roy Rogers, because he did work in other genres, but Foran's songs are so poignant and haunting, always about the beauty of the West.
