Oh thank you, Jackie! Happy Valentine's Day back at you. Is that Debbie and Fred from THE PLEASURE OF HIS COMPANY? I've never seen that movie. And is that Carole and Bob from MR. AND MRS. SMITH? Ah, yes, Hitch and love, lol.

About Travolta, he's never been a heartthrob of mine, but I do admire him as an underrated actor, and I really love Tony and Stephanie's evolving relationshhip in SNF. (they are part of my "New York" section, along with Sam & Issy, and Marty and Clara. I should have included Kong and Ann Darrow)

As for Ina, ha! I actually included her as the noir finale to my "dark love" category, because I'm certain that she and Jeffrey's marriage isn't all she leads us to believe. This woman is possessive and insecure, and I'll bet you anything that Jeffrey has a skinny blonde gourmet cook on the side during his weekend trips outside of the Hamptons.

Some of my photos disappeared in my "Shades of Love" gallery -- Rita and Glenn from GILDA, Betty Grable and Rory Calhoun from HOW TO MARRY A MILLIONAIRE, and some others.

Who knows what else will vanish?

Rats!

I had a strange Valentine's Day.

This evening at work, I was coming down the hall from the restroom, and there was an odor of what smelled to me like dog food. I told this to one of the administrators, when our assistant principal, hearing this, stuck her head out of her office and grimly said she was heating up a dinner of microwaved Salisbury steak.

I slinked back to my classroom with a beet-red face.

You always make me feel good, Lynn.

Mom's doing okay for someone closing in on 90 years this March 27th, thanks for asking. She's plagued by chronic back pain due to arthritis and spends more time than she'd like to with a heating pad, but my mother soldiers on with relatively good cheer and flinty resolve. I have to say that watching old movies on TCM provides her with a great deal of relaxation and pleasure. She sits down, picks up the remote, and heads straight for Robert Osborne. It's the best therapy. (for me too)

Barb, the school sounds exciting. I love the fact that any reptile or arthropod could come by to create a stir among the scared pupils (although they should be used to it by now). haha Sorry I get carried away sometimes. Maybe I was thinking about "Zoltan, Hound of Dracula". I bought it once because Jose Ferrer appears in the film but I haven't watched it yet.

Bronxie,

I'm watching *Latin Lovers* and thinking of you. I imagine you sitting there laughing out of loud every few seconds.

One thing's for sure, John Lund should never have made a film in color. With that moustache and in color, he just looks laughable.

And Lana, poor Lana, never should have had this poodle look:

Thankfully, Jean Hagen and Ricardo Montalban steal the film.

How do you get a thorn on the bottom of your foot while dancing (wearing shoes) on a dance floor?

Oh wait, it's Lana film, anything is possible.

Ricardo's grandfather enters the room (where Ricardo is removing the thorn) and turns on the lights and says, "Beautiful and brave! Why do you not turn on the lights?'

Turns them on and then says (after seeing Lana):

"On second thought."

OUCH!!!!

And then John Lund tells Lana (after she has thrown him over for Ricardo Montalban), "I am one of your oldest friends."

Double OUCH!!!!

Oh my gosh, Lynn, LOL!!!! Is this the one where Lana Turner has the mega-bucks? (like she does in THE RAINS OF RANCHIPUR. To Fred MacMurray: "I always had more money than you! I've always had more money than anyone!") I missed LATIN LOVERS this time around but think I saw it years ago. And promptly forgot it, ha! Mom, however, caught it after POSTMAN. Her assessment of Lana in LL? "Her hair looks spray painted on!"
