Thanks, Cinema!

Next:  More bad spy spoofs.  Which Bond actor voiced a character called "Tad Lazenby" and what was the film?  Hint, Bette Midler does the voice for a villain named "Kitty Galore" and her henchman,"Paws, " has metal teeth.

Yep, that's it.  A pretty terrible movie with some pretty big names and lots of bad Bond puns.

Well done, cinema!

Thank you, Cinemaman! That was a fun one.

Which film represents the first time James Bond is faithful to one woman for the course of the film, and who is she?

Maybe From Russia with Love?  Daniela Bianchi  playing Tatiana Romanova. Bond and Romanova  pose as husband and wife.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

That's a very good answer, Peebs, but there's a gypsy cat-fight in From Russia with Love, which Bond settles then spends "quality time" with both parties. Move forward in the Bond film time line.

My second guess would be On Her Majesty's Secret Service and Tracy.  I'll leave the question open if someone else has the answer.

This is very close, Peebs, but in OHMSS Bond actually has two "dates" in a single night, neither of which are with Tracy. Whoops. I'll leave it till tomorrow, then if no one else chimes in I'll answer it and we'll move on.

And by the way, Happy Thanksgiving right back at you, Peebs!

In Diamond's Are Forever (1971), Bond never seals the deal with Plenty O'Toole, and therefore is only intimate with Tiffany Case. This was by design as the climate of the early '70s wanted a Bond who seemed less chauvinistic. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?

Thanks  BunnyWhit  next:  The  actors  of  James  Bond  and  Harry  Palmer meet  in  what  film  and  name  the  Sound  of  Music  star  who  was  in  that  film.  Thanks

The Man Who Would Be King with Sean Connery, Michael Caine with  Christopher Plummer as Rudyard Kipling.  Also, Shakira Caine. Directed by John Huston who had tried getting the movie made for years.  He had considered Bogart and Gable and later Burton and O'Toole as co-star combos before finally getting it made in 1975.

I love this movie. The cast has great chemistry.

Thanks, Cinema!

Next:  Let's keep going with Harry Palmer.  In addition to the Harry Palmer books, author Len Deighton wrote five other books and a regular feature in The Observer about the same suprisng subject. What was the subject of his other books and newspaper feature?

Here's a little hint:

A taste of the action: Len Deighton's cult Sixties' cookbook is back | The Independent | The Independent

Deighton wrote cookbooks! He also wrote a cookery strip for The Observer. That's one pinned on Palmer's wall in the photo above, and here's another view of it. Caine said he learned a lot about cooking from Deighton.

Yep, that's correct!  Another fact -filled answer, Bunny.  Well done!

The thread is yours...

Hey thanks Peebs!

Let's try this connection: Pierce Brosnan plays a bad-guy MI6 agent in what film, based on what book, by what author?

The Tailor of Panama (2001)?  Bronson played MI6  agent Andy Osnard. Co-starring Geoffrey Rush and Jamie Lee Curtis.

That's the one, Peebs! I kind of like that Brosnan played a good-guy MI6 agent and a bad-guy MI6 agent. The funny thing is.....can we tell the difference?
