Stolen Holiday fashions

With Claude Rains, Kay Francis, and director Michael Curtiz I was expecting more from STOLEN HOLIDAY than it delivered, but if you enjoy the fashion follies of old movies, look for STOLEN HOLIDAY the next time it comes around. Kay Francis is a model turned fashion designer who has to choose between a Bernie Madoff type of financial manipulator (Claude Rains) and Mr. Right (Ian Hunter of STRANGE CARGO). Alison Skipworth is fun as the gal who tries to make Kay see the light about Rains. Here are three remarkable fashion moments:

 

1. Kay wears a low-cut dress with a large floral item right in the center of the neckline. Unfortunately, this emphasizes the smallness of her bust.

 

2. To go dancing, Kay wears a white turban with an attachment or tail that stretches almost to the floor.

 

3. Kay doesn't remove her gloves before she smokes a cigarette.
