Captain McGloo
Just added the Apple TV Watch TCM app and there is no option to turn on Closed Captions. For all other video apps on the Apple TV, you pull down to turn on Closed Captions. But when you do that on the Watch TCM app all you get is the movie title. cmovieviewer
Try going to Settings -> Accessibility -> Subtitles and Captioning -> Closed Captions and SDH and turn them on there. Of course this activates captions everywhere but like you I don't see an option during movie playback.
gregw
I've noticed this as well with my older Apple TV and my newer Apple TV. I followed the instructions to turn on CC at the device level, but no luck. I was hoping this would be fixed with the new Sept 2021 TCM app update, but there is simply no way to turn on cc. TCM any chance to get this fixed in an update to the app????????
cmovieviewer
I'm not sure what the differences might be, but closed captions are working for me in WatchTCM when I turn them on at the device level. (Today it is working while watching The Red House on the live stream and Baby Doll on demand, for example.) I have the '4K' Apple TV, it might be different for other models. gregw
After a bit of tinkering, the closed captioning appears to be working now!
