HollywoodGolightly
This is just a quick heads-up for Lubitsch fans - Fox Movie Channel will be showing the last film credited to him, That Lady in Ermine, this Tuesday at 8am Eastern Time. For those who miss it Tuesday, there will be at least one more showing on FMC in October.
Hudson_Hawk
...YOU'LL NEVER GET RICH BY HIRING LU-BITSCH, YOU'RE IN THE ERMINE NOW... Completed, perhaps, but not by Lubitsch: much of the film was directed by Otto Preminger after Lubitsch's health declined (though the film's sensibility reflects that of its original director far more than Preminger's, since Lubitsch guided the writing of the script and chose the cast). RainingViolets101
Oh, how lucky you are my cable service doesn't carry FMC and this is one of my very favorites - OH ! WHAT I'LL DO TO THAT YOUNG HUNGARIAN sung with conviction by the leggy Betty Grable is a hoot .Also the coat she wears in the very last scene is the most beautiful I've ever seen... gagman66
I haven't seen it, but this was apparently a remake of a 1927 Silent film THE LADY IN ERMINE which Starred Corinne Griffith.
