How sad that everybody has left us but Sir Ian. They all did such great work.

One thing I love about TV is that the great "baddies" like Claude Akins, Jack Elam, and Ernest Borgnine got to do complete 180"s and become comedy stars. All were up to the task. We could cheer for them instead of the heroes when they brought them down.

As for Bill Robinson, he was born to dance. If the material he had was sometimes racist, his talent transended that and was the best answer to a totally asinine theory. Good collection!

Oscar wrote a beautiful, hauntingly romantic called song called "Blame It On My Youth" I would just to love read a book by one of Mr. Levant's daughters about life with him. He was a tortured, but witty and talented man. Thank you, Joe, for the great picture that we are not going to see anywhere else... Mary

I shouldn't be surprised that Arness and Wayne share a birthday as it was Wayne that turned down Gunsmoke and told then to get his good friend and frequent co-star Arness. It worked out well for us and him, I can't imagine anybody else as Matt Dillon.

How ironic that it's also Jay Silverheels's birthday. Should this be some kind of national holiday for Western fans? What entertainment these three men have given us! As Dan Duryea says in Taggart, "Some days are better than others".
