Joe and Lynn,

I'm sure this photo was taken in 1954, not 1945, so perhaps the writer of the article transposed his numbers. The photo appears in "Brass Button Broadcasters: A Lighthearted Look at 50 Yeas of Military Broadcasting," by Trent Christman, and this is the caption:

"With the war over and budgest being slashed, and with Hollywood stars still patriotic but not anxious to donate valuable talents, AFRTS cleverly got around the problem by covering the many events such as movie premieres at which stars gathered. Many of these assignments went to Jack Brown. Here, nattily attired in his foreign correspondent?s trench coat, he introduces Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall to the AFRS audience."

The Armed Forces Radio Service was established in 1942, but the Armed Forces Radio *and Television* Service was begun in 1954.

Mongo, my saw a pic of Bogart, Monroe, and Bacall posted large in a Jack-in-the Box! Bogie's in the middle with Bacall on his right gazing outward, Marilyn is sort of looking somewhere, and Bogie's eyes are fixed on Marilyn's decolletage.

This picture must be in the public realm somewhere. S'cuse if you've already posted it but it would be fun to see it if you haven't.

Thx for all you do...

Cinemafan, it was a gathering of Tarzan's in 1966 to promote the new NBC Tarzan series.

From left to right are: Jock Mahoney, Johnny Weissmuller, Ron Ely (of the TV series), and James Pierce who played the swinger in 1927.

Sleeper, the caption under the image read 'Robert Walker, Vincente Minnelli and Judy Garland

at a night club, ca. 1945.'

(photo from the collection of the author)

All three were making "The Clock" at that time.

*I don't know who that is with Garland and Walker but it definitely isn't Minnelli!*

Robert Walker is on the left side of the pic, Judy on the right and *THAT* is Vincent Minelli behind Judy.
