Thanks, Methus.. I mean Dargo, for making me feel not as old as I could be (ha) Though, I am sure there are days when I at least FEEL old enough to give you a run for your money (in terms of perceived antiquity)  :)

I believe Cooper's radio show airs out here in KC too. (or it used to) I know I have come across it once or twice in the past, while spinning the ole radio dial now and then.

So I guess maybe Price did the album and then also the movie they made to promote the album , maybe.

Yep, they filmed the concert in 1975 and released it as Welcome to My Nightmare. Our local horror guy would show it at least twice a year late Friday nights. Preacher's kid Cooper was drinking buddies with Jim Morrison and Glen Campbell. :D

Wow, Clint Walker!!  What a heart throb ladykiller he must have been.  If I had looked like that instead of the short dweeb I've always been,  I think my love life with the ladies would have been 1,000,000% more exciting!!!  Women probably fainted dead away when he took off his shirt.  Nobody ever said life is fair.

Today is also the birthday of the great Mel Blanc, the man of a 1000 voices. May 30, 1908-July 10, 1989.. From Bugs to Daffy to Porky to Leghorn and all the Warner Bros cartoons, he was the voice and so many others. He was a regular on the Jack Benny radio and TV shows. His "Sy","Si", Sue" is still a classic. His tombstone is inscribed "That's All Folks"...

Thanks for remembering Mr. Blanc today, Fred. He certainly was a talented guy.

I don't remember Clint Eastwood ever looking that good.  I'm waiting for his version of Jersey Boys as several have played here in the past few years but I couldn't afford the tickets.  Since Clint is also a musician I'm expecting  that he will do justice to the play.  I was a big Four Seasons fan and seeing it 50 years after "Ragdoll" hit number one will be, I hope, a treat.

And that kinda looks like Leo Carrillo sitting to Barbara's left there, Joe.

(...though the guy IS now startin' to remind me of some other actor from that era, but who I can't quite place...any idea???)

Looks like Errol Flynn's mustache....

All I can see is the evil glare from the woman over Barbara Hutton's head.  If looks could kill.................................
