Rock Hudson with his pal birthday boy George Nader
Despite the fact Nader's career was more or less sabotaged by Universal and sacrificed to the tabloids as being gay in order to save Rock's much more lucrative reputation, Hudson and Nader remained life-long friends. Nader was named one of the beneficiaries of Hudson's $27M estate when the star died of AIDS in 1985.

Rock Hudson with his pal birthday boy George Nader

This is interesting although not surprising to those of us who know the truth about these men.  Rock would later go on to co-star with George's nephew, Michael, on Dynasty.

I've seen some of George's movies and remember his being in a lot of Loretta Young Show episodes.  He was okay but didn't get my attention much.  I seem to recall a "photo op" from a fan magazine with game-show host George DeWitt and him hosting a party with only female guests.  My grandmother commented "Well, you know what they have on their minds". (I was too young to know but guessed she didn't think it was good).  I'm betting that this is exactly what the public was supposed to think and therefor conceal their true orientation.   This seems all so childish today.

When actress Patricia Neal died , birthday gal Mother Dolores Hart, the former actress-turned-nun, lost a friend. Neal was a frequent guest and supporter of the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem, Conn. Dolores Hart is known for starring opposite stars such as Elvis Presley, Montgomery Clift, and Robert Wagner. At the age of 25, she entered the Benedictine Order at Regina Laudis. She’s still a voting member of the Motion Picture Academy

Dear Margaret Dumont.  The Marx Brothers wouldn't have been half so funny without Margaret as their oblivious foil.  My favorite scene, brutal as it was, of hers is when she was being punched in the stomach by one of them and Chico is saying, "Oh, she can't take it there," as though it were a prize fight.  So crazy.  Groucho said she never understood the humor in their jokes.  (I can see why, in that one.)  But what a marvelous-looking lady she was, so dignified, and really beautiful.
