But poor Oliver Hardy does look bad. i wouldn't have recognized him. Ollie had suffered a stroke by this time and was an very frail health. He suffered another stroke in 1957 and passed away. Poinciana
Thanks, as always, for the Hollywood polo pic. We occasionally would trek out to Pacific Palisades to Will Rogers' place and watch the polo games...for free. I wonder if you can still do that. wouldbestar
I really liked the DeForest Kelley photo; it seems his character roles didn't give us a chance to see to see how handsome he really was. I'm a big Leon Ames fan so that was nice, too. So that's Norma Varden. Another face I can put to a name and hers is in more cast credits than I have fingers and toes. Belated thanks for the Noah Berry shot. What movies will I find him in as I'd like to see where Noah, Jr. got his talent from.? I only remember Warren Hull from the Strike it Rich TV show a clip of which appears in The Last Picture Show. Anything else? This board is the only place I can admit my age and not feel ready for the grave. Thanks
bansi4
Poinciana, I'm happy to report that the Will Rogers Polo Club is still in operation and you can still watch games for free. Star, glad to hear that you feel at home here. Norma Varden is indeed a peach. You can find a list of films for both Warren Hull and Noah Beery on IMDb.com, and info on their lives. midnight08
Thanks for another nice post of the Clara Bow photo. This was probably taken in 1937 when she and her husband opened the "It" cafe in Hollywood. Any photos of her after her last movie in 1933 are hard to find.
