TCM just announced the 2022 festival dates today, and in the e-mail I received, I noticed the festival has a new logo to go along with the channel's recent "refresh."

They just can't leave that C alone...

That's actually really funny like it's literally just dots, they really need to give that C a break😭😂

I think it's meant to be a stylized film reel with one dot lopped off to turn it into a 'C'.

It is.  It's a slight modification of an icon they've used for the past decade.  When the refresh was rolled out, some were wondering why they didn't use something like this instead of the seemingly random symbols for the C.

Txfilmfan - As you can see this thread will go largely unnoticed on this part of the forum...TCM's toilet.  Their sewer system for the chronically dejected.  Sorry - not for me, so I don't plan on being here for long.  😁

G-d, what has this place become in the last 5 years or so.

This film fest logo reminds me of the Goldberg Bros reels, which I only recently figured out (not a projectionist).  These are recent pics I found on eBay:

And for some reason, giganto ones like this 42" beast seem to be pretty rare.  They tend to get repurposed as tables, chandeliers, planters, bird feeders, and other weird housewares types of crap.  Hell, I'd love to hang one of these indoors on my wall - unmutilated, unmolested - as is.

P.S. have I mentioned I really hate their new main logo??  😁
