Tyler reportedly died peacefully in his home Saturday evening. The actor was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, later campaigning for individuals to start testing for the disease as early as 40 years. "The world knew him as Gunther (the seventh 'Friend'), from the hit series Friends, but Michael's loved ones knew him as an actor, musician, cancer-awareness advocate, and loving husband," a representative for Tyler said in a statement sent to Fox News. "If you met him once you made a friend for life." Tyler was best-known for playing Gunther on Friends, a worker in Central Park. Many fans of the show dubbed him the seventh friend.
