Guest
Jeff... this one's been around on DVD for a while (teamed with *My Lady of Whims* ). This new version of *Hula* will probably be improved but I probably won't buy it.
goldensilents
If he fit *Hula* previously with another film that means he had to squeeze two films on one DVD-R. If *Hula* is by itself on one disc this time it's most likely that the resolution rate is far better this time.
gagman66
Jill, Yes, I believe that it was processed at a higher-bit rate than the former release had been. And there is no short subject this time. That being said, it is also a much better transfer than his previous version. Although I didn't really see the old one. I think it's clear that it is a better quality product all around.

gagman66
Prince, Like this would ever happen. TCM has almost no access to her surviving films, with very few exceptions. Here are some captures from HULA. These are straight captures, I have not done anything with them. The Titles are not Flash-Cards by the way. So you can see that this is a nice print. You had better nab HULA and MANTRAP while you can get them. Neither may be available for long.
coopsgirl
I ordered my copy of *Hula* Saturday morning. Can't wait to get it. Their version of *Mantrap* was so much better. I was really happy with it.
gagman66
Angie, I think the transfer of HULA is even better than MANTRAP. You will certainly not be disappointed with the picture quality. The music is passable, but I never really listened to it. Just substituted my own selections.
