And now for probably the nicest picture Jack Elam ever took...

Jack_20Elam.JPG

Just to give this thread a little balance, ya see. ;)

(...btw, it's probably just me here, but for some reason I've always thought Jack kind'a sort'a looked like James Garner...on a REALLY bad day, of course)

Actually, not so nice here, TB.

Nope ya see, what you DON'T see is that she's holding a metal coat hanger above her head here!

(...yeah yeah, I know...low hangin' fruit here, huh...sorry)  ;)

Thanks, Dargo, for that heart-warming photo of one of the country's beloved characters of western folklore.

Thanks, Brian!

(...btw, did YOU ever see any vague resemblence between Elam and Garner too?)

Maybe a well-positioned profile shot could yield that resemblance?

Actually, I think in his early years, Elam did have some similar characteristics to Garner.  Then they kinda went down different paths later on in life.  And then, curiously enough, the later Garner started to converge with the Elam.

So, in answer to your question, I will go ahead and say, "Yes."

Must be the photographer couldn't keep both "birdies" over the camera, and Jack did his best to obey the photographer's directive to "Watch the birdie!"  ;)

I sometimes wonder if Elam here had fathered a child with Karen Black, would it have balanced out the kid's vision?

(...yeah yeah, I know...I DO contemplate the STRANGEST things, don't I?!!!)  ;)

Maybe the kid could look right and left at the same time.  ;)

So, you're sayin' he'd take more after his father then?

(...depending of course upon if the Elam family genes were dominate) ;)

After pulling up some images of Karen, I'd think if the kid took a bit after the both of them, then he/she would have to keep the head always turned a bit to the right just to see straight ahead;)

What a Lovely Subject Matter.

My Personal Favourites from that Particular Enumeration have Got to be Doris Day + Rod Taylor and Clark Gable.

If i Could, i Would Definitely Post Some Favorite Pics of Artists and Performers. Unfortunately, have never figured out how to do so on a consistent basis however. Would have to resort to typed out descriptions instead. Incidentally.. "Patience"; As an Overall Merit and Attribute, might wear Very (Very) thin indeed with fellow readers.

Absolutely Love that Pic. 🎨

While Perhaps trivial (and pointless), while i'd imagine forthcoming answer would hinge and depend on each and every respective Performer(s) individually; i've often wondered if such common "stock" photos were posed for on a consensual basis, from the perspective of the artist

(*and it is a small miracle indeed if that made sense.)

It's hard to choose a nicest photo  from this beautiful lady, but this is my favorite of Hedy Lamarr:

https://www.globaltimes.cn/Portals/0/attachment/2011/e66470de-ea88-4896-a028-8e48b5bd5feb.jpg

and my favorite of Vivien Leigh (who looks a bit like Lamarr in this photo):

So No Offense Nor Disrespect Whatsoever Toward TopBilled when i say, that Lovely Second Sitter on the bottom there has the eyes of Elizabeth Taylor (imo).
