A LITTLE ROMANCE (1979)  TCM showed it yesterday early in the evening.  TCM shows it often.  I always liked it.  Last night, I watched all of it (again) and laughed more than I ever had before .  I realized, that I love that movie, not for OLIVIER, but for DIANE LANE and THELONIOUS BERNARD:)

Not as charming as George Roy Hill's other coming-of-age movie THE WORLD OF HENRY ORIENT, but Lane and Bernard are very appealing as the young couple.

This was one of Olivier's signature annoying old man roles, the others being, as memory serves, MARATHON MAN, THE JAZZ SINGER, and THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL.

Another thread that belongs in "Your Favorites" forum.

But would it have generated any discussion?   I start threads like this one when TCM broadcasts a film I'm interested in.   This is at least the third time I've seen you post this remark (and I realize it's not just my threads).   Have I  violated a rule?
