A small performance I like very much is Paul Everton (1868-1948) in Wilson (1944). Everton plays Judge Westcott, who nominates Woodrow Wilson for President at the Democratic Convention of 1912.  (John Wesley Westcott nominated Wilson for President at the conventions in 1912 and 1916.)

I can't find a photo of Everton in the role, but here's a photo of the real Judge and Everton in another film.

Jack Nicholson as the pain freak in Little Shop of Horrors

The Little Shop of Horrors (1960)

"Hey, Doc, did you hear how you can tell more dentists commit suicide than any other profession? Because they're all looking down in the mouth. Now, PULL 'EM ALL OUT, DOC!"

P.S.: Sorry, I made up that dialogue. I just couldn't resist.

Seeing as how the topic heading of this thread does not particularly specify that the offerings submitted here be of the human species, I remember finding the short appearance of the Komodo Dragon featured in the 1990 film The Freshman and where he causes panic inside a shopping mall as extremely funny when I first watched this film at the movie theater back then.

(...the 3:24 minute clip of his mall exploits can be viewed on YouTube, however YT won't allow me to post it here for some reason)

Lillian Gish as Cecelia Burgess in Sweet Liberty (1986).

Years ago I checked out a biography on her from the local library. It may have been an autobiography; I don’t remember. It was right after she died. Just happened to notice on the inside cover that she had autographed it. In a moment of extreme honesty I told the librarian when I returned it that contained the autograph. Wonder what would have happened if it had mysteriously been “lost”? Wrestled with that for a while, not gonna lie.

Basil Rathbone as Captain Levasseur in CAPTAIN BLOOD

The really great actors can get away with a ham performance like this . . .

Masterful, audacious, beautiful…”: Basil Rathbone's Captain Levasseur – Backstory Classic: Looking at Golden Age Films
