unwatchable
I have a few of these. I still have a working Sony LaserDisc player, too, a nice one. At its peak, LaserDisc had a whopping three percent market penetration back then. I was lucky enough to live an a city large enough to have multiple rental locations for LaserDiscs. EricJ
They were Voyager laserdiscs before Criterion became a VHS label, and I used to have Voyager's one pre-DVD experiment with movies on CD-Rom: Yes, that old copy of "A Hard Day's Night", that let you play the movie either fullscreen, or in a picture-in-picture corner while reading the shooting script or historian essay. Reportedly, "Monty Python & the Holy Grail" was next for planning, but then DVDs came along, and we thought you had to play those in the computer disk drive, too. Technicolor33
You had to be rich to own laser discs way back in the day. Hardly anyplace had them for rent. They weren’t popular like VCRs.
