GreatMoviesFan
Automatically, You Can't Take it With You, Holiday, and Harold and Maude come to mind. What are some others?

DougieB
"The Owl and The Pussycat", with Barbra Streisand and George Segal, definitely. As the title suggests, it's about opposites attracting. He's a bookish introvert and she's more of a free spirit, but they find lots of common ground. More recently, one of my favorite modern comedies is "Two Weeks Notice" with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. She plays a social activist who gets suckered into working for the Trump-like Grant. Her parents are played by Dana Ivey and Robert Klien, both playing old-school liberals to perfection. Lots of fun. Robert Klien is in both, by the way.
