(Please share) "As the Earth Turns” a 1930s silent sci-fi film, will be on Turner Classic Movies Thurs 4-14-22 at 9pm Pacific (Fri 4-15-22 midnight Eastern).  I am the composer and producer. The film, itself is time travel, in that it was made in 1937, and was never released until 2019.   It was directed by Richard Lyford, who made it when he was 20 years old, in Seattle before working for Disney and directing an Academy Award-winning documentary.

The film was on TCM Halloween 2021, and this marks the second broadcast screening.  The film predicts WWII, future technology, involves climate change, and the extreme need for peace (timely!)  I have a short documentary, “It Gets in Your Blood” about the director in festivals, and both films are available on DVD/BR.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  This project has been the ride of my life and continues to create amazing opportunities.  The pairing of the film with “The Time Machine” (1960), and other incredible science-fiction films is a true honor.   The film has similar themes to “Things to Come” (1936 - Also part of this series).  Ben Mankiewicz is hosting the film.
