House Democrats ask Wyoming Democrats to switch parties

House Democrats ask Wyoming Democrats to switch parties

Two House Democrats are crossing party lines to back Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) ahead of her uphill Wyoming Republican primary election battle next week.

Reps. Dean Phillips (D-MN) and Tom Malinowski (D-NJ) heaped praise on Cheney for putting country and principle before politics and even encouraged Democratic voters to consider "temporarily switching parties" to help her fend off stiff competition from her primary challenger.

“You might be a little surprised that I’d be supporting Liz Cheney in her bid to continue representing Wyoming in the U.S. House, but principle must always come before politics, and nobody has shown more honor, integrity, and courage than she,” Phillips declared in an ad.

“Liz Cheney and I don’t agree on everything,” Malinowski explained in his ad. “But we’re on the same side today, fighting for a country where we settle our differences by voting, not violence.”

Both congressmen encouraged Wyoming Democrats to register to vote in the GOP primary contest in their respective ads. The two ads are running on Facebook and have been funded by Wyomingites Defending Freedom and Democracy, a group that has been supporting Cheney.

*****************************************

Democrats are trying to steal another election, this time they want democrats to switch parties and not elect the Republican voters want. Everybody in Wyoming should vote against Liz Cheney.

PS How ironic that Liz Cheney is trying to steal an election.

No one is trying to steal an election in Wyoming.  They are merely recognizing that with the current situation, the GOP nominee will most likely win the election.  So, why not let everyone support the person most qualified to represent the majority of WY citizens and what is in the best interest of America?

Actually, this is further proof of why closed primaries, caucuses and so forth should be illegal.  If someone runs for an office, everyone who that person would represent should be able to vote at every stage.

I disagree Liz should backdown for now and see what the fallout from the search is. I don't know which side is right, but we need a choose to keep either side from dictatorship.

Please. "Steal an election." If Wyoming Dems prefer Liz to her dem opponent and cast a legal vote for her, no theft has occurred.

Liz though could take a lesson from Phil Gramm who resigned his seat to which he was elected as a Democrat, then ran as a Republican. That was honorable. (Of course he was pretty sure he would win but still.)

Those candidates that "Republican voters want"??? You mean like Dan Cox in Maryland, Dr. Oz in Pennsylvania (who may not even be a legal resident of Pa), and J.D. "AWOL" Vance in Ohio? The candidates who have nothing to recommend them other than mindless devotion to Donald Trump, who at the very least has mishandled classified data pertaining to our nuclear secrets?

You should thank these Democratic voters. If they get Liz Cheney through her primary they will have saved you in spite of yourselves.

And Liz Cheney IS a patriot.
