YOU ALL SEEM SO KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT CLASSIC MOVIES. I AM JUST DICOVERING THEM. AS A THIRTY-SOMETHING THAT'S FED UP WITH WHAT'S OFFERED TODAY, I NOW KEEP MY TV SET TO TCM.

SO MAYBE YOU CAN HELP ME. DURING CRIME WAVE WEEK A MOVIE WAS SHOWN THAT I BELIEVE WAS THE ORIGINAL MOVIE THAT WAS REMADE AS THE MALTESE FALCON. ALTHOUGH I LOVE HUMPHREY BOGART, I ACTUALLY THINK THIS MOVIE WAS BETTER. MORE OF THE STORY WAS EXPLAINED.

CAN SOMEONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS MOVIE AND LET ME KNOW WHY IMPORTANT PARTS WERE CUT OUT IN THE H.B. VERSION?

BE PATIENT WITH ME, I'M LEARNING.

Scenes cut, I assume Spades love affair with Iva Archer, and a few other things? Probably because Dangerous Female is a pre code movie made before 1934. Before the rise of censorship, filmakers could put as much sex and violence as they felt the audience could handle.
