molo14 Posted November 17, 2009 Share Posted November 17, 2009 I watched this last night. It was wonderfully cast. Barrymore, Beery, MacMahon, Byington, Grapewin. The era is nicely captured and the pacing lets you take it all in. A really nice and thoughtful film. As for Eric Linden, I remember him in *Are These Our Children* and thought he gave a memorable performance. He was also good as Lionel Barrymore's wayward son in *Sweepings* which has been airing off and on lately. I think he was a victim of his baby faced looks.
