BiddyBloomers
I'm trying to find a movie that I just saw maybe the last half of on TCM quite awhile back. Don't have much to go on. It's a comedy I think. It was about a family, the sons were in the war or had just returned. The lived in a large house in town. The only scene I distinctly remember was there was some kind of event going on in town and to make some money they were charging folks to park their cars in their driveway. Hilarity ensued when someone tried to get their car out. I know it's not much to go on. I don't remember any of the actors. Hopefully some of you can help us out because we'd like to see it again. Ascotrudgeracer
Sounds just like what happens in the neighborhoods surrounding the Los Angeles Coliseum on game days. Bet it's where they got the idea.
JulieAH
Hi BiddyBloomers, The parking scene sounds like the end of the movie *Roughly Speaking* with Rosalind Russell and Jack Carson. Try this link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038038/ They are parking cars for people attending the Worlds Fair if I remember correctly. It shows up on TCM about once or twice a year. Hope this is it!
