lavenderblue19
Thanks. It's funny, what a coincidence. I was going thru my tapes last week and saw Another Man's Poison and thought I would use it as question next A woman goes to a man's office, he tells her she's wearing cheap perfume and a woman doesn't need to wear a fussy hat, that it hides her handsome face. Azure
Fifth Avenue Girl No, but that was a good guess, KarmaGirl. Here's another hint -- The woman assumes that the man is also out of work. She tells him about a job opportunity that she heard about, but it's open to married couples only. She asks him to pose as her husband so that they can get the job. MarshaKatz
Lavender, This sounds like the movie "Danger Signal", a terrific noir film starring Zachary Scott, who ingratiates himself into the lives of a family, in particular two sisters -- Faye Emerson, the elder sister, and Mona Freeman, the younger. If it is, it's my personal favorite Faye Emerson movie.

MarshaKatz
And Now Tomorrow That's the movie, Star. "And Now Tomorrow" is one of two movies (I think they only made two together - the other "China") that Loretta Young made with Alan Ladd. The fiancé played by Barry Sullivan and the younger sister played by Susan Hayward. And Alan Ladd is the doctor who cures her long-time deaf illness . The movie, along with "China" which also stars the great William Bendix, is very rarely shown anymore. A really enjoyable romantic melodrama. Great job, Star. The thread is yours.
