MarshaKatz
Could be and is The Bride Goes Wild Marsha. Even though there are some on the bds. that find June Allyson annoying, I'm a fan of hers and I love this movie. Van Johnson, June, Hume Cronyn, Butch Jenkins Una Merkel, . Excellent cast, excellent comedy and always makes me laugh. Good work Marsha, your thread Thanks, lavender, and I too am a big fan of this film and June Allyson. Van Johnson, Butch Jenkins, Una Merkel and a gorgeous Arlene Dahl are all wonderful, but Hume Cronyn (as he usually does) steals every scene he's in. I'd love to see a Summer Under The Stars 24 hour tribute to Hume Cronyn and Jessica Tandy. I believe that this is a remake of "Theodora Goes Wild" starring Irene Dunne and Melvyn Douglas which is, I believe, considered a screwball comedy and is extremely funny. However, "The Bride Goes Wild" (to me) stands alone on its laurels. An excellent comedy and June Allyson does a terrific job. Next: A man trying to escape from a group of spies and the police finds himself impersonating a British car salesman trying to demonstrate a new convertible with loads of bells and whistles.
