It's probably the saddest movie ever made, "All Mine To Give".

Yes, it's All Mine To Give. based on a true, very sad story. Everyone in the cast was so good in the film. Glad TCM shows the film over the last few years, I watch it each time it's on. A few years back,  Swithin had recommended the film, he wrote that when he was a kid they use to show this film in school.  Miles, it's your thread and Wishing You A Very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year  :)

Wow, you are good!   I thought that I would have to come up with more clues, but you got it, Lavender, so now it's your turn.

Thanks Miles, yeah I'm good LOL but there's an advantage when you've seen the movie, and I've seen Roberta a few times. :)

Since I did the one before yours, I'll leave the thread open for someone else to post one

The movie is "Nevada Smith" with Steve McQueen as the title character.   He and Arthur Kennedy are helped in their escape from a southern prison camp by Suzanne Pleshette, who  dies from the snake bite.

I knew you'd get this one Miles once ypu saw the question,  especially with that last clue. I've always really liked Nevada Smith. I was thinking about flashback the other day when I thought of Nevada Smith. He hasn't been here in years and I know he wasn't well. games and trivia was more fun when he was part of our group. At any rate, you're turn Miles.

Yes, we had a lot of regulars on this forum a few years ago who are no longer posting.  I wish a few of them would come back.

Now, a detective is escorting a witness to a crime while on a train.  They are being pursued.  After they pass him, a fat man steps out and blocks the narrow corridor, allowing the two people to get away.
