flashback42
I should have caught it earlier. At the end of the story, after the con-game team have split the loot, Doc is in found in the casino, not gambling, but watching the stage show. "My Blushin' Rosie" is the featured number at the moment.....Next up: Now fully recovered from a recent childbirth, a young woman is dressed up fashionably and walking down the street. With happy recognition, she walks a little faster, gets into her boyfriend's convertable and drives away with him. Her daughter is in the care of people she trusts, and she has returned to the life she considers rightfully hers. What film?

Edythevanhopper
In 1944 London a high ranking US Naval officer arrives in London. His slick adjutant and a driver from the motor pool drive off to the supply house, picking up luxurious goods, aged steak, bourbon, cases of oranges, ice cream and chocolate syrup. Next scene his hotel room is piled high with the goods and an evening dress he has to fill with an escort for the night..preferably a redhead. ??
