My favorite 50's actress, Diane Brewster, has been all over the vintage TV stations lately as well as TCM movies. I have two questions: Is she still alive and why did she not get to use her signing voice more often? It was as good as her acting and i would have liked to have heard more. Thanks, Bob.

I remember Diane Brewster. As I recall, she didn't make that many movies, but those she was in are so memorable. To be honest, I did not realize that she had a singing voice. Did she ever sing in the movies? There was one bit of odd casting when she played the mother of Paul Newman in a movie. They were probably about the same age.

She did one of the very last "Cheyenne" episodes in 1962 where she played a blind dance hall singer. She was great and looked like she was having one good time doing it. I saw it again recently and got impressed all over again. Glad to know I'm not the only person who remenbers her.
