Feel free to add co-stars (i.e. Gene Kelly, Van Johnson, Disk Powell, Vincent Minelli, Spencer Tracy, Cary Grant, etc.) and their films. But please do not be brutal , harsh, mean, expository, or cruel. I am a young girl (will be 21 on Sept 7) and greatly admire these women/men and their lives. Talk about their lives, deaths, films, heartbreaks, awards, kids, etc, etc, anything. I am always looking for new information. leobertucelli Posted August 5, 2004 Share Posted August 5, 2004 Though I'd add some trivia on Kelly who danced with Cyd Cherese, like in 'Brigadom' to name just one. Anyway when she'd come home to husband, singer Tony Martin her arms, legs would be black and blue from being Gene Kelly's dance partner BUT when she danced with Fred Astaire they'd be not a mark on her. Kelly was more physical where Astaire was just dancing effortlessly and graceful.. I'm not sugesting that aSTAIRE WAS BETTER DANCER, JUST a different style.
