Cujas, are you "Vamping" again? The answer is Gail Patrick. You neglected to note that it was her first husband, Robert Cobb, who owned the Brown Derby. The Cobb Salad is named for him.

I'll assume I'm correct and post the next one.

Mr MS this Lady was for real--like that all the time. She sued her Mogul employer at one time, left the country and refused to work. The Mogul won.

You know, I'm finally losing track of my questions--I would have sworn that I asked this one last week. But I tried to post it and had computer trouble so I forgot about it.

 

In my question you had to know that Ed Sullivan had run the contest in his newspaper column, so that's why he crowned them.

 

King was Clark Gable.

Queen was Myrna Loy.
