JamesJazGuitar
I've been playing this song a lot. Funny that the part I like the least is the Greg Lake country guitar section. I redid this part as a jazz chord vamp. Oh well, still a fantastic song.

After further listening, there is some brief country element to it, I can hear in you description, but I think English folk dominates the section as it does in much of 1970s British prog. Hey, how do you know that when I said "country" I wasn't referring to the country associated with Greg Lake? Yea, that's the ticket! NOT! Yea, it is a more English folk \ English soccer hooligans type vibe than American country Hee-Haw.

Here's a song with you in mind, JamesJazGuitar, for both its Noir-ish vibe and Tim Renwick's solos: 1
