It is about GWTW-there is a lot of words that I don't understand in this book are there websites that exist thyat one can go to to find the meaning of the words or the context or the book? Like when Scarlett opens her lumber businness Rhett gives her a name to put on the sign and Ashley has to tell her what it means and of course it doesn't go on the sign and there are so many more. If you even vaguely know of a website or a GWTW one that talks about the book in detail I would greatly appreciate it.

The website below is maintained by a fanatical devotee to Gone With The Wind. You can email questions to the webmaster, who may be able to help you further. Have you checked any of the words that you don't understand in a really good dictionary, such as the Oxford American Dictionary? They often include archaic meanings of words that were common in earlier times and might not be familiar to modern readers. Just out of curiosity, what word does Ashley explain to Scarlett in the scene you describe. Sorry that I can't recall the scene myself. Good Luck:

Yes carollombard01 that is the part of the book I was referring but there is so much more that I didn't get words I don't know or know they existed. Then there's parts of the book that I just love and want to use in everyday language so far I haven't had the chance to use you can't "hunt with the hounds and run with the hares" but I have it handy. Thanks for the info carolelombard and everyone else. I wrote down the website you gave me morriafinne (msp-sorry) and will check into it. Thanks again everyone
