Plz include "Popular Science", "Unusual Occupations"& "Speaking of Animals"

Recommended Posts

Dear TCM,

Please include *"Popular Science*", *"Unusual Occupations"* & *"Speaking of Animals"* when discussing the history of film shorts. For some reason they are often left out of listings, documentries, etc. These multiple Academy Award *"Oscar"* Nominated & Winning Film Short Series are very important historically - the first two document the culture, important figures, development of inventions and lifestyle of America and other countries from 1935 to 1949 in 35mm Silver Nitrate Magna-color & Cine-color. They released by *Paramount Pictures Studios* and ran theatrically before their top Features.

*"Speaking of Animals"* is Black & White 35mm Silver Nitrate series that is a charming, whimsical series that *Tex Avery* created & worked on. Through the marriage of animation and live action, animals crack one-liners, tell stories & sing songs and dance often while in costumes on miniature sets, they also won two Academy Award *"Oscars"*... Shields actually owns one of these historic *Oscars* from 1944.
