MilesArcher
That sounds like "Conspirator" with Robert Taylor and Elizabeth Taylor. They would also work together in "Ivanhoe" a few years later.

MilesArcher
Sorry, cujas. The movie was shown on Sunday and Bing was not in it. It was not even a musical. The song that he co-wrote was used as background music and was sung at a party that the leading man and leading lady attended.
mudskipper
I think it's "I Don't Stand A Ghost Of A Chance (With You)", one of Der Bingle's more popular songs which was featured in "A Millionaire For Christy"(1951). It was composed by Victor Young in 1932 and first sang by Bing in the Mack Sennett musical short "Please" in 1933. The lyrics were co-written with Ned Washington, a much more experienced lyricist (High Noon, When You Wish Upon A Star, Stella By Starlight, My Foolish Heart, The Nearness Of You, I'm Getting Sentimental Over You, etc...) who won 2 Oscars and was nominated for 9 more, so I don't know how much each really contributed to the lyrics...
