MilesArcher
Who was Broderick Crawford in "Of Mice And Men"? I know, it'e kind of an awkward question. He was, of course, the son of Helen Broderick. His role of Lenny was played in the movie by Lon Chaney Jr. The movie's other lead role was played by Burgess Meredith, who was once married to Paulette Goddard.

lavenderblue19
Yes, *Romance On the High Seas* , Michael Curtiz, and Doris Day. The story is Doris went to a party at Julie Styne's house. Sammy Cahn and Julie Styne asked Doris to sing. They suggested to Curtiz to hear her, and that's how Legendary Doris Day began her Hollywood film career. Your thread, finance. DownGoesFrazier
Not Gabel. Unfortunately, I forget who it is. I'm going to have to look it up. ......Lumet and Duryea are correct. (Martin Gabel never established a big reputation in films) Edited by: finance on Oct 9, 2012 9:20 AM
DownGoesFrazier
OK. The other member of the cast of the play "Dead End" was billed under his real name. He would later establish a reputation as a film actor under a stage name. He reminded some of John Garfield. Edited by: finance on Oct 10, 2012 5:23 PM
