Name the pre-1970 film

Yes, "General Spanky" was Our Gang's only feature length film.  Producer Hal Roach saw that Fox had hits with a couple of Shirley Temple Civil War movies, "The Little Colonel" and "The Littlest Rebel".  He thought he could duplicate their success, but "General Spanky" was not very funny and Roach decided to staye with the shorts format for the gang.  Here is a short clip:

Starlit, you get to post the next one.

It must be "Paths Of Glory".  Director Stanley Kubrick and star Kirk Douglas would team up a few years later for "Spartacus".  Here is that final scene:

The young German actress singing, Susanne Christian, would go on to marry Stanley Kubrick.  They would remain married until his death in 1999.

Thanks.  Now, a railroad agent carrying a railroad payroll to the line camp is a victim of a train robbery.  Before the robbers can find the money, he puts it into a shoebox belonging to a young boy.  However, the young boy is taken hostage, but the crooks don't know that the boy has the money.

Such a great cast in this one. Night Passage - Jimmy Stewart, Audie murphy, Dan Duryea and Brandon de Wilde as the boy ?

The Palm Beach Story?

Absolutely star, it's The Palm Beach Story. Hilarious Sturges comedy. Colbert and Mccrea, Rudy Vallee and Mary Astor as the nutty brother and sister and they are both so great in this one. So glad you know this film, good job. You're up Star :)

Sorry Lavender.

It turns out the couple had been celebrating the first anniversary of their divorce.  They had only been married for one year; she left him due to his obsession with gambling on horse racing.

The young woman had her ex-husband served because he hadn’t paid his monthly alimony.  He claimed it was because of poor investments; she stated he had bought a horse that was’t winning.  His attorney would come by soon to give her the check, so that his client would be released.  However, she never deposited the alimony checks.
