Edythevanhopper
From the early 50s, an Oscar winning actor was asked to see the play before accepting the role. He walked out during the 1st act. He would later read the screenplay and win the winning role. What film ?

Kid Dabb
Thank you, Edy (YAYyy I got one :^0 ) The co-star of this film was a star in his own right who later turned to directing, then TV. In this film he insisted upon performing a horse riding stunt himself - riding through a small village. As he was proficient at riding, he was allowed to do so. To the chagrin of everyone else on the set his saddle malfunctioned, throwing him off - he awoke in a hospital with a concussion, multiple fractures, lacerations and a bad gash on his head. This same year, he also accidentally removed parts of both hands and seriously damaged the tendons while woodworking in his new shop behind his house. LiamCasey
Thanks, Kid! A director once told an actor that he had given the worst screen test that he had ever seen in his life, but that the actor got the part anyway because they were leaving for location on Monday and couldn't find anyone else. Who was the actor and what movie did he get the part in?
