LiamCasey
This movie is not *Story Of G.I. Joe*. This movie was made at a later date but was set during an earlier war.
LiamCasey
Hint: The movie began with a voice-over narration describing the defeat of a British force.

LiamCasey
The last two clues together make me think of *Dead Reckoning* with Humphrey Bogart. But it is has been so long since I've seen that movie that I don't remember if the first clue fits that movie or not.
lavenderblue19
Yes *Dead Reckoning* is correct. the 1st clue about the woman shooting the wrong guy is towards the end of the movie. Lizabeth Scott was aiming at Bogart, but she hits the casino gangster who was her husband instead. Bogart accuses her of it when they are in the car before it crashes. Good work Liam, your thread. LiamCasey
Thanks, lavender. The first movie collaboration (using that term very loosely in this case) for one particular pair of actors had one as a courier and the other as a spear carrier. What was the movie and who are the actors?
LiamCasey
Hint: The movie in question won multiple Oscars.
LiamCasey
Hint: The second movie collaboration (again using that term very loosely) for this pair of actors had one as a married man in search of extracurricular activity and the other as a famous artist. LiamCasey
Hint: The third movie collaboration for this pair of actors was a true collaboration and had one as a "doctor" and the other as his, er, "patient".
lavenderblue19
Liam, sorry we all seem to be drawing a blank on this one. More clues please.
Edythevanhopper
Don't be too easy on us, this has been a good post. But for instance a courier for the cavalry or Britiish forces, etc...would help narrow the field ??
LiamCasey
Sorry for the delay. Spent the weekend working on computers (and their wireless network) rather than relaxing with computers. Hint: In their first movie collaboration, the courier was a royal courtier sent by the king to invite a prince to participate in a fencing duel with another. LiamCasey
Hint: In their second movie collaboration, the famous artist was a historical person who "knew a lot about dots"
