OldSchoolBuff
Hi. I am new to the board and just wanted to introduce myself. I am big fan of The Three Stooges, Laurel and Hardy, and Abbott and Costello. I am old school type of person and started watching TCM when the movie George Washington Slept here came on. I was intrigued by the movie and Ann Sheridan. I watched her classic movie day when it came on and seen that there was more classic movies out there besides the basic ones like King Kong. If you would like to suggest to me what movies you think i will like then please dont hesitate to post them. Thanks.
MyFavoriteFilms
The next offering of Laurel & Hardy on TCM occurs Sept 20th with the film WAY OUT WEST. The following day, there are two more: SAPS AT SEA and A CHUMP AT OXFORD. You may also enjoy the comedy duo known as Wheeler & Woolsey. Two of their films appear on TCM in November: CRACKED NUTS and HALF SHOT AT SUNRISE (both on Nov 9th).
OldSchoolBuff
I'll check it out. I have their collectors addition dvd set but most the short films are silent. I also forgot to mention that i also like the movie Abraham Lincoln from 1930.
MyFavoriteFilms
The '30 version of ABRAHAM LINCOLN just aired on TCM in July. It's not the kind of film that receives heavy rotation on this channel, so I hope you recorded it.

MyFavoriteFilms
Depends what your interests are...if you like historical dramas, especially ones about presidents, there are some good ones made by MGM and they show up on TCM occasionally: THE GORGEOUS HUSSY...Joan Crawford has the lead role, but Lionel Barrymore plays Andrew Jackson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Gorgeous_Hussy TENNESSEE JOHNSON...Lionel Barrymore again, this time in a supporting role with Van Heflin as Andrew Johnson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennessee_Johnson ABE LINCOLN IN ILLINOIS...Raymond Massey's definitive role as the 16th president, with Ruth Gordon playing his wife. (From RKO, based on Robert Sherwood's play) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abe_Lincoln_in_Illinois_(film)
