Missing Boom! (1968)

Boom! with Elizabeth Taylor and Raichard Burton was on the schedule for November at one point, but I don't see it now. Any word on what happened. Was really looking forward to this film.

Looks like it's been replaced by SECRET CEREMONY (also from '68).

Strange, that TCM nixed this movie. While it isn't exactly the best in the series of films made by Liz and Richard, perhaps TCM paniced at the last minute? Could it be because of some realization to the point of the obscene language. Or, did TCM then just feel that this movie isn't up to par or in a decent sort of class, relating to the entire repertory of Liz, let alone her husband's? Oh well, perhaps the movie will eventually just pop up.

Boom! - the widescreen version was on flix a year ago. its a great movie - my favorite liz taylor movie. a great scene where she tries to push a medical device off the deck & it wouldnt move properly. I laughed out loud.

Likely, the company they thought had the rights probably didn't.

 

I would love to see TCM do a tribute to Liz and Dick and their Furious Love. They may not have been able to live with each other all the time but the final chapter of their love story is a heartbreaker.

Shame that they canceled or replaced it. I wanted to see it from the Tennessee Williams aspect more than the fact that it was Liz and Richard. Maybe they'll reschedule again sometime.
