lavenderblue19
You're on the right track, but I could have listed a few more that went into tv series. Just be a little more specific.
nitratefiend
In that case, I'll have to pass in the hope someone more knowledgeable will take it up.

MilesArcher
Yes, I purposely left out Duncan Renaldo. That would have really given it away. Your turn, Ms Blue.

allaboutlana
It?s probably not it, but they all worked with Mel Ferrer: Scaramouche, War and Peace, and Falcon Crest, if you count tv.

DownGoesFrazier
They played roles where they were either deaf or blind?
lavenderblue19
You are 2/3's of the way there. Eleanor Parker, think about her. Then rephrase your answer.
allaboutlana
I thought of that too, but for the life of me, I couldn't find a movie of Ms. Parker's in which she was blind. Some of hers I hadn't seen in a while, though.
DownGoesFrazier
They all played roles in which they were some way handicapped. Hepburn -WAIT UNTIL DARK (blind); Wyman-JOHNNY BELINDA (deaf and dumb); Parker -THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN ARM (crippled)

DownGoesFrazier
No, I'm looking for a much more unusual, specific type of film. You couldn't find many actors who starred in this type of film. MANY actors starred in naval films.

allaboutlana
I had two guesses at the time, but guessing one at a time, I went with that. My second is Plymouth Adventure, The Devil?s Disciple, and Slave Ship, that may all fall under early historical pics. You can have your pick of Beery's. They all seem so similar in tone with him in it, whether they're westerns, war, or historicals.
DownGoesFrazier
No, I'm not talking particular genre. I'm talking about a particular setting for the films, and character focus.

I mentioned in a previous clue that all 3 STARRED in a particular type of film Hint: One of the 3 films that one of the 3 actors starred in is an EXTREMELY well-known film that was on TCM last week.
